October 2017 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

Next meeting: Tuesday, 10 October, 2017

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM
macOS High Sierra and iOS 11

MacinTech is proud to present The Mac Observer (TMO) Managing Editor Jeff Gamet. He'll, once again, be up front talking about the OSes that Apple released in Sept. With the expected release of the 10th Anniversary iPhone, iPhone X, this is sure to be an interesting evening with our own local national celebrity Apple Guru.

NO FRAGRANCES ALLOWED!

Bring your questions!

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members! As always, we will meet about 5 PM and the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
