January 2020 Meeting

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Next meeting: Tuesday, 14 January 2020

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM

Topic: Chuck Joiner on the New Year

It's a new year, and Chuck Joiner will prognosticate on all things Apple.

Apple rarely telegraphs its plans. But, at the start of 2020, we are all wondering where Apple is headed. What it has in mind for the future and what products may roll out this year.

Chuck Joiner is the host of podcast MacVoice, and has delivered information about Apple products for many years. He has interviewed dozens of people in the tech world with a focus on those concerned with Apple products.

At the January meeting, Chuck will talk about Apple, and provide some perspective on where we are now and where we might be going.

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members!

As always, we will meet about 5 PM at the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
