September 2018 Meeting

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Next meeting: Tuesday, 11 September, 2018

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM
macOS Mojave and iOS 12

On Sept 12, Apple will be announcing new iPhones and perhaps other hardware, along with the release schedule for the new versions of macOS and iOS. Jeff Gamet from The MacObserver will be coming to tell us all of the new features you will enjoy. New features will include Siri Shortcuts, notification groups, ARKit2, new productivity tools, and performance enhancements.

This is a great chance for you to learn all about the new features, so we hope to see you there.

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members! As always, we will meet about 5 PM and the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
