November 2017 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM
Working Smarter for Mac Users

We are very happy to have Bob "Dr Mac" Levitus in town to discuss his new book "Working Smarter for Mac Users." Bob's new book is all about using your Mac to get work done, while saving time. As the book says "how would you like to save an hour per day for the ret of your life?"

This book has tips galore for Mac users who want to use their Macs more efficiently. Highly recommended by Jeff Gamet of the MacObserver.

NO FRAGRANCES ALLOWED! Jeff Gamet will be in attendance.

Bring your questions!

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members! As always, we will meet about 5 PM and the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
