April 2020 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

Next meeting: Tuesday, 14 April 2020, possibly suspended

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM

Topic: TBD; meeting may be suspended

We had a good March meeting, where zimmie compare the suite of Microsoft Office apps to the comparable apps from Apple.

Metrum is suspending community meetings for the time being. This notice came out on 12 March. This month's SIG meeting on 26 March is definitely suspended. The April 14 general MacinTech meeting is TBD, and possibly suspended. We will keep you up to date as we get more information.

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members!

As always, we will meet about 5 PM at the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
