April 2019 Meeting

Jon,

Fantastic presentation last week. I enjoyed my visit to the MUG and will return!

After doing some thinking, and learning, it seems that a Raid 5 is not a backup solution. I'm wondering if a Raid 1 with say 8 drives (4 net) would be a better solution for a home media server... say like Plex.

Thoughts?

Ron

Next meeting: Tuesday, 9 April, 2019

First Half Hour at 6 PM
Main Presentation at 6:30 PM

Topic: Maintaining Privacy with Rene Richie

Special guest Rene Ritchie, Editor in Chief of iMore and of Vector vidcast fame, will join us to talk about about maintaining your privacy in an increasingly invasive world. Ranging from passwords to VPN’s. This should be a wide ranging and informative talk by a major voice in technology.

The meeting is at the Metrum Credit Union, 1/3 of a mile south of Arapahoe on the east side of Holly in Centennial. The doors will open at 6 PM, and the visit time will be from 6 PM to 6:30 PM. A good time to ask questions and get advice from fellow members!

As always, we will meet about 5 PM at the Panera Bread on the SE corner of Holly and Orchard for a little supper.
